Hello world!

Well, one has to start somewhere. While roaming the internet looking at other writer’s blogs to steal ideas gain inspiration from, I was struck by the fact that they all seem to point to dozens of publications and awards. It seems a bit arrogant for someone with one publication to be cranking out blog entries, frankly. Why would anyone ever want to read what I have to say? But hang on, I’ve apparently decided people would want to read my fiction, so perhaps a certain amount of arrogance comes with the territory. And like I said way back five sentences ago or so, one has to start somewhere. I suppose I could have just waited until I’d published a few more stories before bursting onto the world wide web, but of course the beauty of all this is that if it turns out I’ve jumped the gun and created a web presence too soon and I’m just talking to myself, no one will know about it.

One Response to “Hello world!”

  1. I think the time before an author gets published is the most interesting. This is the time spent learning, passing on interesting information and letting readers really get to know you and what motivates you when you write. Glad to see you starting a blog. I’ll try to follow along.
From your friend and another hopeful writer,
